Heard from my friend who did a turnaround on TG last year (Dec). He went to the transfer desk in T2 and was asked to thru arrival immigrations and then proceed upstairs to Departure Hall for check-in and then rush off to clear immigration again.

He tried to proceed upstairs via the stairs or escalators at arrival area before immigration, but was stopped by the immigration officer who demanded to see his BP before letting him up the stairs. As he does not have any boarding pass, he has to go through the immigration to proceed to departure hall. Was kind of rush for him as he needs to clear immigration and settle check-in within 45mins from touch-down of the plane.

Has the rules changed? If so, once he has proceeded upstairs, where is the transfer desk to obtain the boarding pass? Thanks for any inputs.

p/s: Checked with TG Office in Singapore, they do not allow issuing of CGK-SIN BP in Singapore.
