I recently rang up DC to ask for the number of miles on VS to Sydney, and was informed by DC that "Virgin don't fly to Sydney". I replied telling her that they did, which she replied "not according to our paperwork."

Anyway we resulted in the fact that they did indeed fly, but as it is relatively new flight the mileage hasn't yet been decided. I told her that LHR-HKG was 70K so would it be roughly double, which she said Probably.

So were talking in the region of 120K - 170K for economy and 185-210K for premium eco...

My opinion, stick with Star Alliance, 100K Eco, 150K Premium.
