Sri Lanka is a great country with some great hotels. My most memorable stay was at the Tea Factory, just breathing in all that fresh air with tea plantations all around was great.

However an important note, distances might seem short in KM but roads are bad and traffic crazy, don't end up spending your whole holiday on the roads!

Also remember that the Maldives is just a short cheap hop by plane, and these islands are truly amazing. WOW - it's a place I will have to visit again...
