VS is ready to cry foul over anything which it perceives to disadvantage themselves, whether or not they have a reasonable or a justified complaint. And because of the usual asymmetric media coverage in the UK, VS will always get a sympathetic ear - especially when they're bleating about BA.
The reality is that VS stand to gain enormously from the extra space which they will get at T3 once T5 is finished and Star moves out of T3. And VS are already planning big facilities changes to take advantage of it.
Nor will T5 be exclusively for BA, anyway. If the BA/QF JSA is still in force then (and there's no reason to believe otherwise), QF will be at T5.
