Pick either one and go for it. It is one of the best purchases I've made recently.
I have Sirius and find programming and channel selection sufficient. I went with it because Sirius offers free internet stream of music stations (XM charged extra last year not sure about now) and it has 3 NPR/PRI stations (CarTalk several times a day yey!). March madness coverage on Sirius was very good and I think NBA+NFL are exclusively there too. No MLB. You can get a three day web trial on sirius website to check music selection. Both Sirius and XM occasionally offer promos with free of discounted receivers with subscription. I got my receiver + home dock + car dock from sirius for $50 with 1 year prepaid sub last year.
No more Clear Channel garbage for me ^

I can also get access to alot of different stations that aren't available here in Canada, from sports to news/talk. Since I had it installed I have had many friends/family get it. I also got the home kit and use it indoors frequently.
