Ann Arbor is a city of many nice hotels but few if any fabulous ones. Unfortunately the Dahlmann Campus Inn is the only one downtown/ on campus but way overpriced: $180 buxanite IIRC.
The Hampton Inn South is 3 miles away near the Briarwood Mall. Typical Hampton, but a bargain @ Opportunity level = 7500 HH points a night. Fairfield Inn, HIEx, & 4Points, Courtyard & Kensington are in the same neighborhood. In conclusion, A2 is a great town for earning nights & stays on whichever chain is running the best bonus program !
