Maybe not optimized for a Blackberry (requires at least a minimal web browser; displays OK on Pocket Internet Explorer on my PDA-Phone) but this FAA site gives general airport status:

The main page gives a national summary highlighting where the significant delays are, and you can select a particular airport from the menu at the bottom of the page to see its status. I haven't tried it on a cellphone WAP browser, but since the page is displayed as two frames it may not work very well on a simple device.
