The registered traveler line hugs the wall, immediately next to the elite/first queue. Once they pass the retinal scan, it seems the line combines with the elite/first passengers. I had plenty of time to study it about a month ago when there was a security breach at Term. B and TSA shut down the terminal for about an hour and a half as a search for a woman who managed to get through security with an un-searched cooler ensued. It didn't appear that they had their own metal detector.
