The Jalousie is owned by Hilton International PLC. This is a totally separate company from Hilton Hotels Corp. (HHC). For the most part, HHC does not own, operate or manage Hilton hotels outside the U.S.. There are a few exceptions; Cancun, Cabo, etc.

The Fontainebleau was a franchised property under HHC. The decision was made to re-flag the property. Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you look at it), such is the nature of franchised hotels.
