Beware of High Yield credit postings.

I maintain my UA travel history with a spread sheet. Since the High Yield bonus (Fare Bonus) incentive began, I tracked this as well. Last year the HY bonus was displayed in the mileage summary along with each segment. However, this year the HY bonus is only displayed at the top EQM/EQS summary, NOT the individual flight summary.

I noticed that in April my account for HY bonus differed from the credit listed on my mileage summary page of my account. After several emails with me detailing each instance of HY bonus I believe that I know where UA M+ erred in their account (accounting for each ticket by ticket number), I found where the discrepancy was. I have faxed the verification to get the HY bonus credited.

I have monitored my M+ account very closely the past few years. I know what bonuses I have earned and see that since the first of the year, UA M+ is somewhat lax in their accounting for the HY bonus. I have called several times this year to get credit for missing bonuses. Please keep this in mind and make copies of all your receipts for UA travel if flying any of the following fares:

First class F, A, P
Business class C, D, Business Discounted Z
Full fare economy Y, B

Each of these fares earn the 150% High Yield bonus miles/segments.

Good luck in maintaining the High Yield bonus you may be entitled to.
