Question Twofer, or is it both fares in YUP or the like?

The idea it is a "twofer" makes me think it's possible you bought from an agency making it look like a twofer, but in fact one gets mileage credit etc. the other gets zip, and it is really two YUP fares for the price of a First fare?
I hope not, because you can buy YUP fares for two people, get the COS bonus, etc. generally for quite a bit less than one F fare.

OTOH, the YUP fares are a good deal, and I'd congratulate her... and you'd both get EQM + 1.5 EQP, bonus miles, and COS bonus miles. ^

But twofers - AMEX Platinum offers "twofers" on CX, LA, etc. - two fly for a full J fare, only one gets mileage credit etc. Sometimes, one can find "I" class fares that would cost the same as one J, or even less - and provide both flyers with all miles, etc. e.g. $2,699.90 all in SFO-LAX-LHR-ATH <open jaw> IST-LHR-LAX-SFO using AA Business and BA Club Europe. AMEX Plat twofer (not that they offer this) would cost well over that, IMO, and I don't think there is a oneworld airline one can use with the AMEX program on that routing (J looks like ca $7400.) (Sometimes, AMEX Platinum twofers can be a good deal - I fares can be scarce, or non-existent during high season, etc.)

[QUOTE-jtmnyc00] My wife just booked a first class 2-for-1 deal on American from ORd-HNL and we are both platinum members. What is the "a" class and will get bonus miles for this?

Thank you [/QUOTE]
