I just got my Gold VIP card recently and have an upcoming Hampton stay on tap. I reserved a king standard room and see on their website that they have a king study that costs a little more. Would it be appropriate for me to request an upgrade to the king study when I arrive, if available? Is that an benefit of being gold? I have chosen the points benefit rather than the bottled water and cookies for this visit. Just wondering what to expect at a Hampton. I did recently stay at a Hilton and was graciously upgraded to the Club Level on that stay.
