Y fares get you S class, where available
A colleague of mine recently booked a Y9E fare to Europe, with a connection in LHR. On the paper ticket, the YVR-LHR segment showed a fare basis of Y9E but the class as "S".

So it seems that on those SuperComfort/Club Class routes, Y will get you S.
