I just got credit for a flight and had an extra 50% mileage bonus called "Fare Bonus".
It showed up like this:
Air CONTINENTAL 0126 A LAX IAH...1379
SILVER ELITE BONUS........................689
FARE BONUS.....................................689
BONUS............................................. 1379 4136
Can anyone identify this bonus?
(Also, it only showed up for one segment, and not the others)

It's probably a bonus for flying on a paid first class ticket, which earns a 50% bonus (which is elite qualifying). Is it possible that you were upgraded on this segment? If so, then the most likely explanation is that the upgrade got coded wrong so that the OnePass computer thinks you had a paid FC ticket, instead of an upgraded coach ticket. This happens from time to time, especially if the gate agent is rushing to get the flight out on time.
