It is possible to buy US currency cheques at Chase. Although at the top of the screen at www.currency-to-go.com it does say you can have foreign currency delivered overnight (which is true), if you scroll down you'll see: "Order up to $1,000 in any of 75 different foreign currencies, foreign currency traveler's cheques, or U.S. Dollar traveler's cheques."

Reports from others, and alleged official Chase policy is that you can order only once a week, and after 4 orders within a year you will be cut off. This has varied for some, I've received two orders from the same week, etc... It seems that the 4 total orders limit may be more strictly enforced.

Also, there is a bug in the site at Chase where even for an order of $1000 you will not be able to choose the delivery option. You may have to order $950 instead. I would certainly try www.x.com - that would give you $2000/year, which is better than nothing.

Money orders, much like T/C's usually, cannot normally be charged to a credit card.
