Hmmm... several scenarios then:

  • too many F passengers: Some of them were downgraded to J, with or without subsequent downgrade of J passengers to Y (etc.)
  • too many J passengers: some of them upgraded, some of them downgraded. This could be the most chaotic scenario and I wonder if it has ever happened. Upgrade AND downgrade J passengers on the same flight
  • too many Y passengers: upgrade (with or without... bumping)

Did you see any check-in tragedy?
