My husband is of a size that a coach seat is uncomfortable. He can put the arm down but this is not his prefered status. The last two flights have been in FC and he is now spoiled.

I have a AX companion fare voucher for DL. Does anyone know if a passenger can buy 2 coach seats for themselves thus making sure they have a middle row seat open? Not getting FF miles would not be a issue since you do not get FF miles for the companion seat. Check in or bag check would also not be a problem since you can check in online and he only has one bag anyway.

Would there be a problem at the gate boarding handing them two tickets, and would they try to fill the seat if a person was not actually sitting there?
