The airlines can make out good in that scenario. Large person A buys 2 seats together, and so does Large person B. The airline just goes and assigns them into the same group of 3 seats, and leave the middle one empty. Thus, they have sold 4 seats, and only used 3, by selling the middle seat to both of them LOL.
