It's a crap shoot. Sometimes they do; others they don't. It does not seem that there is a pattern. In Feb I was going SJC-ORD-BOS. Before I even left SJC, the ORD-BOS flight was cancelled due to weather. I got a call in San Jose and made arrangements. Others (such as you) have reported not getting calls.

I'd call the EXP desk and inquire as to why you were not called for something as serious as this.
