Why is every company propagating 1-800#s???
Hi!
This question is not specfically Delta related:
I am from Germany and just moving to the US. I have been in the US a lot of times before and still do not understand why everybody tells you to "call them".
I do not need to call somebody for getting information which I could get by simply starting my brain or for information which is not so important to get in advance.
I mean why is the world's leading technology country so behind with information.
Calling may be fast but needs a lot of human backup resources although call centers are used. And I am very frustrated when calling somebody and waiting for some minutes on the line for somebody anonymous not helping me.
And it decreases economic growth because of the holding on the line costs for the people calling.
Instead email and internet services are much more efficient, but are rarly used in the US.
I would even say European companies use them much more, but the response time to internet inquiries is not worth a positive word.
Furthermore calling on 1-800 costs companies a lot of money that's why European companies even replace existing 1-800 Numbers with toll numbers because of cutting costs.
So why is Delta still paying US or Indian CC agents instead of improving the website's capabilities of innovative travel searching?
You still cannot book an international award ticket online! That takes usually 15 - 30 minutes to check.
Isn't it redicolous?
