Kind of understandable given that this is really a short extension of Metro-North with nicer seats. And now that Albany station is so nice, why not get people to patronize the station tenants?

And I bet Gunn wants every available seat (of which AmCafes have at least 30) moved to the NEC for now due to the Acela fiasco.

It would be great to see a coffee vending machine on board as is the norm on many regional trains in Europe, but I am sure that the FRA would balk at just about anything, though there was an "Automat" car in the Midwest a few years ago used on the infamous Janesville, WI service.
