Suggest that you check the BWI Marriott. $5 or $10 to a bellman (not the manager) will usually ensure that bags are kept safe for a few days at any full-service hotel, even after 9/11. Show up, look respectable, explain that you'll be returning in a few days, and tip well.

It would be a slam-dunk if you were staying the night there either before or after your trip to Iceland, but even without a reservation it is worth a try.
