PhilH is right. Since the A345 isn't governed by ETOPS restrictions, the aircraft follows the best routing that is available to them according to the jetstream. When I flew LAX-SIN, I remember that the plane pretty much took a left turn over Hawaii and headed eastwards over the Pacific islands. It definitely had to be the wind factor because we arrived in Singapore at a few minutes after 04:00. The in-flight supervisor mentioned to me that it was one of the fastest crossings he's ever been on. My two cents.
