Hold the applause. Yes, this recent development can indeed be a good thing, but there is a catch: when the EXP Desk accepts payment, taxes for the ticket are calculated as 'sold in USA', as it should, obviously. On the other hand, if you call a European number, and pay with the same card, for exactly the same ticket, taxes are *re-calculated*, as the fare is now sold *outside* the US, usually resulting in important tax savings.
