Hear! Hear! Especially since I make synthetic latex that goes into producing latex gloves.
I'm never offended but think it's a smart thing. If you notice, a lot of the TSA folks who search through bags at the security lines wear them too.
When I did my MR to Nagoya, I thought it was funny that the customs agent who was pawing through my bag didn't wear gloves.
