Unfortunately, they're not kidding when they say 7 days plus the weekend days. My recent transfer, took exactly a week. It is indeed a surprise that all these mileage transactions, transfers, re-deposits are "electronically slow"

A big contrast when I emptied my AS account and had to make changes on an award reservation. Redeposit, transfer, then redemption, all occured instantaneously as I was re-booking the award with one of their agents on the phone.
