FA wears latex gloves for cup and trash pickup

This morning I was on my regular SFO/HNL Flight with SFO-based flight attendants. One of the FAs in the Y cabin donned a pair of hospital type latex gloves to do the pickup cups/trash run through Y. Maybe she watched that Dr. Phil Tierno infectious disease segment on the NBC in-flight one too many times this month. Still it did look weird--like she was getting ready to clean the lavs or something. None of the FAs in F did this.

The FAs in F mentioned that they were all doing the turn around today. The 9:00 a.m. flight out and a 2-hour break, then the 1:30 return. It sounded like a very long day to me, but most were pleased that they would be sleeping in their own beds at home tonight.
