I need to transfer 5K miles from one account to another in a hurry. I paid $75 fee but am told that it will take up to 9 days to transfer the miles (7 days plus the weekend days). I have an award booked which will not last for more than 3 days. Called UA and they said that they can't help - I just have to sit and wait. Anyone has experience with this that may help my situation? Thanks.
