Well, the FareAlert Email certainly seemed to do the trick and prove it's power, in a bad way, didn't it..? I have to confess that I'm glad that the FareAlert Email was delayed like this so us Newbies (and Brits) got a bit of a look in! I did manage to book something decent on Expedia.co.uk and I hope the price sticks when AA updates my reservation's status on their site....

Unfortunately, I faffed around too long on AA.com and lost the deal I should have grabbed... Then fear and inexperience on Expedia meant that I didn't take enough time and search hard enough to find the final destination/price combination I really needed. Still I learnt a lot and the price I have booked for the transatlantic bit is still brilliant compared to AA's normal high summer rate.

Thanks again to those responsible for me being able to save at least UK£400 (US$700+). ^ :-: ^ I hope I can take real AAdvantage again soon...
