What does this mean--MPM "Ticketed Point Deduction"

Fare rules for AC's LKXSUM5: (and this type of wording applies for many fares)

QTE F/B BK FARE EFF EXP TKT AP MIN/MAX RTG
1 - LKXSUM5 L R 938.00 - - 25MY ?? SUN/ 1M AT01

*** USE OF YY NLX TYPE FARES YYC-FRA NOT PERMITTED ON AC ***

AT01 /VIA THE ATLANTIC/ MPM 5616
TICKETED POINT DEDUCTION OF 400 MILES APPLIES
WHEN TRAVEL IS VIA YMQ AND/OR YTO AND/OR YOW

This seems to be strange wording but perhaps a TA can clarify? It seems to imply that YYC-YYZ-FRA would not be eligible as it would only allow 5216 miles (5616-400 via YYZ) and the actual distance is closer to 5616! Now I know this is not true, you can actually ticket YYC-YYZ-FRA for these fares without any extra payment. What does it really mean?

Also the YY NLX fare rule seems clear but maybe I can't read these rules properly. I presume YY refers to "any carrier" so you can't combine AC flights with other carriers on normal and excursion fare travel (NLX) on this fare?
