these 14K+3K mls will already give you a free domestic TG flight!
HKG-BKK is done by a multitude of VERY cheap fares/airls, NOT of course TG/CX, but:
1.the others, doing it as last run from home: like EThipean, GULF, Emirates, Kenya! useless to try web, book via a BKKagent, returns FROM 5500 THB+tax
2.the LCC's like AirAsia (to Macao) and NOK has announced: www.cheap0.com (the asean Ryan's)
and as above, as a 1st time flyer, you cannot expect any upgrade etc, thats onyl on very busy days for very loyal long standing status customers (as in fact with about any airline nowadays), also forget it at all when a high standing THAI official is travelleing in C or so
