So be wary of the Transcons. I did a look JFK - LAX thru expertflyer and, yes, all had J class types along with F & Y. However, the sanme query also came up with some EWR - LAX options and none of these have any J class types; only F & Y.

For max SC's etc. would it be better to forgo the 20 miles or so in distance and travel via Newark if there are no A class NYC options??
