I realize that I may be overly sensitive or just not a savvy traveler. However, on a recent international flight from Glasgow to NWR, I was utterly appalled by the treatment I received from a FA. Feel free to tell me if I am totally off the mark here.
It was approximately an hour and a half after take off. The meal was already served and trays cleared. The movie had just started and the entire coach cabin was complaining that the sound was going in and out every 2 seconds. There was obviously an audio problem but this FA was hell bent on persuading everyone it was just the headphones and instructed everyone to "jiggle" it. Fine, my beef wasn't with that. But it gave me a clear impression of how this FA was treating the pax.

About half an hour into the movie, there clearly was no apparent pressing activity by the FA's so when this particular one passed by, I politely caught his attention and requested a drink. He informed me that I could get another drink during the next beverage service (I had no idea when that was since it was a 7.5 hour flight). I responded with an "Oh." His explanation alone would have sufficed but he continued with the following, "You don't expect me to run back there and get it for you, do you? By the look on your face, you do. You're coming alive now with your cocktail aren't you?" I was flabbergasted. Here I am requesting drink #2 (by no means do I find that excessive), sitting quietly and I get abused. He got the drink but god knows what he might have done to it.

I've written to Continental but I doubt I'll get a satisfactory response. What have any of you gotten as a response to a complaint? Am I wrong to be upset? Do FA's even hear about the complaints pax make about them? Are they reprimanded?

This is not my only complaint about the FA's. The others pale in comparison. Based on my experiences on this trip though, I've concluded that Continental FA's have a serious attitude problem. Anybody else get that impression?
