I want to clarify in QF do the calculate the mileage tracelled on an award ticket by the actual distance flown or by the point to point per sector method.

eg. If I want to goto HKG, can I do the following:

SYD-MEL-AKL-HKG-SYD Will that be considered the same as SYD-HKG-SYD

Note that MEL and AKL are transit points.
