new PC member, what gives?
Just today, I signed up as a one year member to the Presidents Club at EWR. My only other vist to a PC impressed me so I decided to give it a shot.
Upon entering, no one was working the reception desk. The only employees in the whole place appeared to be three persons of undisclosed age at the ticketing desk. Oh ya, there was a bartender on the other side. I signed up no problem and went into the club. The whole 2 hours I was there, these people were whooping it up behind the desk in loud, obnoxious voices and vulgar language every other sentence. I could hear every word from the other side of the club. It was like listening to the audience of a TV talk show or some oppressed, under-funded city back alley. I never did see another employee and was never offered a drink, nothing...in two hours. I had to go over to the bar and stand there and the after making eye contact with the bardender this person actually said, "did you want something?" I was surprised.
Is this indicitive of the average PC club experience? I thought these were more professional-type environments. I thought the employees at the ticketing counter were supposed to be a cut above the regular airport reservation agents..??
Then again, maybe I just caught them on a bad day. However, they should hire professional-type (?) people, not these cackling, loud, people who speak like they were victims of some under-funded public school system.
Just a thought..Am I off base here??
