I haven't been to the new Concourse C ... it's been forever since I flew AA ex-MKE ... but from what I have heard, C has (still is?) being essentially gutted and "freshened", plus they are adding extra gates onto C.
There are now more security lanes going into D and about to be more lanes headed to E.
The main terminal level has sort of been "spruced up." It's the same basic layout but it doesn't look quite as dated.
New parking structure in, also.
