I believe that the airside shuttle departs from the gate 34 area... last I knew it was on the AS side of terminal three (where gates 31-34 are). Any gate agent at LAX Terminal 3 should be able to point you in the right direction.

I also think that the shuttle runs only between T3 and T4 but I could be wrong about that one.
