My mistake. CX is using 34D on the HKG-AMS route. CX website states old seats on 34D. Is this not correct?

Yes - QF points will be accrued on LX flights but I don't think will count towards elite status. It doesn't bother me as a new year starts 1 June and I can't carry any over (for elite status, that is!).

I will compare QF/LX or QF/CX as the case might be!!
