it's bad enough in restaurants with people yelling into cell phones, when you are either having a quiet time - or attempting to, or trying to have a discussion with an associate.
Can you imagine what it will be like on a plane should the relevant authorities deem it appropriate to allow cell phone use. My god, a nightmare.
Irrespective if a mobile device causes interference with avionics or other equipment, the rules are there for a reason - and I have told someone to put their blackberry away during taxi...
Lastly, some of us who fly a lot, just shrug our shoulders and appear to do what we like. Being a frequent traveler doesn't give anyone any right to do what they please - me included. We pay for the seat, and hope we get preferential treatment from check-in to upgrades - and that's it. Nothing more...
