Hmmm.... even if the flight cost is shared per passenger, the solicitation of a pilot and/or a passenger to offset the full cost of flight might not be looked to kindly by the FAA unless your pilot has a Commercial certificate. I'd be careful.

The FAA has does some pretty stupid things.
