Folks:

I travel about 20 to 25 times a year to Ottawa (YOW) and the HERTZ Airport location there just has been overall mediocre. You would think that with the past 2 years of renting from them I would get good treatment - ah NO.

Usually rent a car for 1 week and none of the HERTZ coupons/discounts for weekly discounts (from hertz.com) are accepted on Hertz.com when booking this location. Any suggestions? I tried every coupon on that was suggested in a previous thread...a few good coupon codes. NONE of them work in Ottawa (YOW). AAA which I have gives me a 5% savings at best which is better than nothing...

I am a Hertz Gold 5 Star and I get every excuse in the world when it comes to honoring the upgrade policy at YOW. The YOW Hertz location says they are not corporate owned so they don't have to follow the upgrade policy. Anyone have experiences like this in Ottawa or other franchise owned Hertz locations?

YMMV, but sometimes I get a few guys/gals that remember me and they treat me nice and then other times I get some folks that could use some customer service training.

Any help would be appreciated.
