I haven't had the pleasure of a brand experince at AmeriSuites or Hawthorn as of yet but remain quite sure that they are both in my future travel plans.
What I can say is that you are in much better hands today with a professionally run program and it's superior well trained customer service.
Should you have the opportunity to climb the ladder to the higher elite tiers
you may find yourself mighty grateful that the good folks from Hyatt were kind enough to take joint custody of you and grandfather you in.

According to the letter sent to me, neither AmericaSuites nor Hawthorn stays will count towards Elite status. Additionally, you will only get 3 points per dollar as opposed to the usual 5. Finally, your status will give you no advantage at either of these chains.
