Hi there! Not only will this be my first trip with Thai Airways, this is this my first ever post on flyertalk!

I have a few questions that I need help answering! What is the Thai Air service like? Do they have seat back screens in economy? It is a fairly long flight after all!

Secondly - will there be any benefits for me in joining the Royal Orchid Plus scheme? I mean will it increase my chance of an upgrade? In fact - is there any chance at all of getting an upgrade? Any tips or suggestions?

I am flying from LHR to BKK, then BKK to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to BKK and then BKK to LHR. So all in all over 10k miles! Are there any other schemes that I should sign up for that will be of benefit?
