OK -- many places where I could be wrong here:

1. I've been using HP = America West. Am I wrong?
2. According to WP T&C's, you can earn miles and segment credit for partners, and America West is a partner of Northwest. As is CO. A colleague of mine is a WP plat, and he flies CO all the time and gets credit.

Where am I going off the rails here?
