Agree with this. The new RCBC is in a nasty area, particularly if you go out the back. The old Ritz is where you want to be in Boston.
As for RCs in DC: the 22nd street one is very modern on the outside, but looks just like an RC on the inside. My wife and kid had an odd experience there when they first opened. They arrived very late, and were given a room that hadn't been cleaned. They were then moved to a suite. And then the desk clerk moved them again to a regular room because they weren't paying for a suite! The location is a little odd, but is within 5 to 10 minutes walk to Dupont Circle, and similarly to Georgetown. The GT RC is a great location if you want/need to be in GT, but there's no close-by metro.
