I really can't understand how people get a kick out of shouting into their mobile phones. I was on a train heading out of Paddington the other day and all you could hear were people yapping into their mobiles, most including the phrase "I'm on the train, so call me back if we get cut off".
I for one do not like people to overhear my conversations (not because they are necessarily private) , but I think it embarassing to be sat there yapping on a phone about drivel for the sake of it.
A mobile, in my opinion is for convenience and for when I want to be contactable....

- so normally in lounges etc I stick it in silent mode or turn off.
