I don't really agree with the guys who have a strong preference for PS. I've done a bunch of PS flights, all but one in C and the other in F, and I found it to be nice, but not in a league of its own when compared with the 763 or the 777. On the one hand, PS has leather seats, but on the other hand, the 763 seems to me to have slightly better recline. While PS has personal DVD players, the 763 has the personal video system, which includes the airshow. Although it's true that row 9 on PS offers a great deal of space, its also my view that the double aisle feel of the 763 is in certain ways more appealing.

If you have the time, the curiosity, and the desire to earn more miles, then go for the JFK connection and try PS. I like it a lot, but the reason why I think it is so good is that it replicates the benefits of the already-existing widebody business class cabins. I don't think that it particularly exceeds them.
