I think that it pulls from certain GDS's (Global Dist. Systems). Not all of them. I think I remember someone saying that Orbitz's interface is based off of this. So this might be why you don't see the fares you are speaking of. Kinda like how you can't buy WN fares anywhere but www.southwest.com.
