Dragonair paper ticket refund via Cathay North America office
Hi everyone,
I had purchased some fully refundable Dragonair tickets via Cathay Pacific res. in LA. However, my travel plans changed and requested a refund. I do not live in a CX city so I couldn't take them to the airport or a CTO for refund. I was told to send them to the NA accounts dept. in YVR, which I did three weeks ago. FedEx verifies that they have arrived, but I still have seen no refund on my credit card. I called CX res. again in LA to discuss and they claim that refunds take 6-8 weeks to process.
Based on others' experiences does this sound rather typical or should I be on the phone with my credit card company disputing the charge???
I'm actually flying CX next week and had I known that it would take this long to process the refund, I would've just brought the tickets with me to be refunded on the spot at LAX or HKG.
