The Sofitel Grande Arche - La Defense is a very nice hotel...brand new and great service. The downside is it is in La Defense, Neuilly. Nothing going on there at night. But it is right next to the Metro, so a few minute ride gets you into Paris. Good airport access, and if you are there on business, many companies are located nearby> My office is on the Champs Elysees, and I did not find it much more inconvenient than when I stayed at Meridien Eloile and it is much nicer.

But many Priceline 4* hotels are not exactly centrally located. LMM is pretty good, and Novotel Les Halles in the Opera Quarter East zone is good too, but I wouldn't really like the locations of any of the rest of them.
